I don't have proper net access now, so I can't copy your message
complaining about alleged breaches of policy. They are not justified.
Briefly:
1. I *did* check for MAINTAINER. I didn't find one. Andrzej didn't
verify this wasn't the case, he claimed it. It seems you didn't
verify that. Go through /usr/src/release/picobsd and tell me
where you see the word MAINTAINER (even now; I'm not trying to
usurp anything). In addition, I sent a message to FreeBSD-small,
to which Andrzej didn't answer.
2. The code did build when I copied it to freefall. We had some
problems (including, it appears, incorrectly coped code; jdp will
confirm). The nature of PicoBSD meant I couldn't build it on
freefall (I need to be root), but I needed to get it off the
system where I had it, since I was leaving. The build doesn't
impact anybody who doesn't want to build it.
3. (A concern of Doug White's, which is relevant here). I have not
changed *anything* in the original PicoBSD build. This is all
added stuff. I'm sorry about the custom directory, which is also
a new directory; I didn't know Doug had designs on it, but we can
easily change that.
Now what's that about the jury? This looks like a summary trial to
me. Normally the accused should be allowed to give evidence.
