Well, you see as a Brit, living in the sticks, its hard to get broadband, my new workplace doesn't have a 2mbps line as the old one did, so im stuck with having to either spend a few days on the modem, or buy a £2 CD, spending the time downloading the rc would then just be a big waste of time really, as by the time its done, -STABLE will already be out probably, and it still costs me in CD's to write. Dilema :/ Thanks, Jon. >From: Beech Rintoul <akbeech@anchoragerescue.org> >To: "Jon Tite" <dapea@hotmail.com>, freebsd-questions@FreeBSD.ORG >Subject: Re: 4.3 >Date: Tue, 27 Mar 2001 17:06:32 -0900 > >On Tuesday 27 March 2001 00:49, Jon Tite wrote: > > Guys!, argh!!, its nearly the end of the month and no word of the new > > -STABLE :(( > > > > I have actually got a couple more machines for my SETI farm with no OS >atm > > cos i thought i'd wait (i will wait till 4.3 still:). > > > > > > I recently found out that from quite a while ago you natively supported > > HighPoint RAID controllers, no other O/S has this at all, let alone for > > over a year!! > > > > :D > > > > Cheers. > > Jon. > >Why wait? you can always update to RELEASE when it comes out.
