Currently I have xfce4-panel-4.12.1 on 11.1-RELEASE-p1. I also have droid-fonts-ttf-20131024_3 installed as chromium dependency, as suggested in comment #14. In the meantime, website I mentioned in comment #7, which repeatedly crashed my browser, has disappeared. As far as I'm concerned this can be closed.
