Maybe it is a problem with the mouse? (Just guessing)
Try to put this in your config file for the mouse:
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Mouse0"
Driver "mouse"
Option "Protocol" "auto"
Option "Device" "/dev/sysmouse"
