The following reply was made to PR docs/149230; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Johann Kois <jkois@FreeBSD.org> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, nobody99@gmx.at Cc: Subject: Re: docs/149230: [handbook] Homepage is not correct, no boot floppy exist Date: Fri, 06 Aug 2010 09:57:54 +0000 -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Not a website problem. Rather a problem of the handbook (the original, meaning the English version). Root cause: Automatic build of floppy images has been disabled starting with 8.0. See the following thread on the stable mailinglist for more information: http://lists.freebsd.org/pipermail/freebsd-stable/2010-May/056705.html Best way to proceed for the moment is probably to put a note into the handbook "that you can still create floppy images under 8.0. But you must do it manually". As the floppy images are still there for 7.X. - -- Johann Kois jkois(at)FreeBSD.org FreeBSD Documentation Project FreeBSD German Documentation Project - https://doc.bsdgroup.de -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v2.0.15 (FreeBSD) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org/ iEYEARECAAYFAkxb3KIACgkQ/rDr791hwtg1iACggXslPN3ajXbTZYKVOCBsv/PR KskAn0xpFIQs7xvzUi/Bk2xV27aYwizG =jIry -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
