ID3v2 frames ain't MPEG frames (it's just a collision of terms),
so no MP3 restriction apply to ID3v2 either.

Curiously, www.id3.org a.k.a. www.id3v2.org is no longer available.
I hope it's a mere coincidence :-)

The greedy mp3 patent holders may easily claim that looking at the
values costs money, too.  At least, that's the feeling I've got after
taking a look at www.mp3licensing.com.  Hence this case isn't as easy
as that of ID3.
