From: Bryan Fullerton <bryanf@samurai.com> To: bug-followup@FreeBSD.org, steve@hassard.net Cc: Subject: Re: kern/117681: [virtualbox] pcn fails to send packets under VirtualBox Date: Sat, 24 May 2008 21:27:05 -0400 I just used the FreeBSD 7.0-RELEASE bootonly ISO to do a FTP install under VirtualBox 1.6.0 by doing the following: - configure VM to use Intel PRO/1000 MT Desktop network interface (em driver) instead of PCnet-Fast III (pcn driver) - DNS lookups not working in sysinstall, so had to enter a manual install URL with an IP instead of hostname (I used ftp4, which is the isc.org mirror) After install, DNS and everything else appears to be working fine.
