Anything that reduces the number of things I routinely forget to do that
doesn't have too big a negative impact is fine with me.  If the
snapshots were always "done" at the point I upload the ones I do to
ftp-master I'd not neglect doing proper announcements and things like
updating this page as much as I do.  But more often than not I'm not the
last one uploading them and at the point I'm told "enough" of them are
there to bother doing an announcement I usually don't have enough time
to do more than just a quick email message to the relevant mailing lists
(and I even miss doing that on occasion though I've gotten a little
better about that than before...).  And if at the point I send out the
email message I don't have time to do the update of this page
immediately the odds it will ever get done drops dramatically as you've
seen...
