I created a patch to temporarily remove the text describing this method, because it is unavailable these days as there is no documentation packages at all (at least I did not find any on the FTP servers). However, I would be happy to help to reanimate these packages. >How-To-Repeat: >Fix: --- books.faq.patch.5.diff begins here --- Index: book.sgml =================================================================== RCS file: /doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/faq/book.sgml,v retrieving revision 1.811 diff -u -r1.811 book.sgml --- book.sgml 12 Apr 2008 20:13:12 -0000 1.811 +++ book.sgml 23 May 2008 03:31:48 -0000 @@ -925,7 +925,8 @@ </itemizedlist> <para>After choosing the format and compression mechanism that you - want to download, you must then decide whether or not you want to + want to download, <!-- FIXME: this method is not working right now (2008-05-23) + you must then decide whether or not you want to download the document as a FreeBSD <emphasis>package</emphasis>.</para> @@ -968,7 +969,7 @@ have been installed into <filename>/usr/share/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/faq</filename>.</para> - <para>If you do not want to use the packages then you will have to + <para>If you do not want to use the packages then --> you will have to download the compressed files yourself, uncompress them, and then copy the appropriate documents into place.</para> --- books.faq.patch.5.diff ends here --- >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted:
