Suspend/resume for iwlwifi is tracked in (see See Also):
https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=263632

Pat, I think having the PR open for two different drivers is confusing. I had
two other PRs referencing the events here for unrelated suspend/resume issues
(netif restart) which are iwlwifi specific.
It would be interesting if you could confirm that iwx does indeed resume
nowadays for you at least (even if iwlwifi might not yet)? There's also been a
lot of other unrelated work which happened related to suspend/resume which may
have help?

Pat, if iwlwifi still exhibits the behaviour that the laptop stays "dark" once
iwlwifi is loaded, then can you please open a dedicated PR for just that
"Laptop does not resume with iwlwifi loaded" and assign it to me and we'll try
to figure it out? Sorry this was left in the limbo for so long.

Tom, given this tracked iwx at least can you reference your commits for
suspend/resume and if it works for Pat, close this one?
