While I didn't test the PCI cards with the last set of code for the 4.4-RELEASE, they were working fairly well with the RC code. There are some issues with some motherboards and interrupt routing which may bite you, but otherwise it should work. There's also some configuration issues too for some of the older Orinoco boards.
