Curious, Hmm, if that's true, then I'll have to check and see what is going on. I have a program which gains about 30 percent increase in speed by turning on threads with a dual-CPU FreeBSD 4.8 system. It's a simple mandelbrot generator, with two threads, one starting at the beginning going forward, and one starting at the end and going backward.
