Interesting. Two hosts here, Apache/SSL, Sendmail, SSH, BIND; once upon a time FTP; they even handle the DNS for one of the domains. I'm not sure whether they realize the extent of my virthosting activity, but if they shut down a coupla of my clients, they'd likely have grounds to sue, by my understanding; better have a look at the agreements they signed pretty soon, huh? Cox offers static IP - small business setup, about $70/month in Missouri/ NW Arkansas. Additional statics are $15 monthly, IIRC. In contrast, standard "express" package for homes is $24.95, DHCP, and about 10-20% of the "biz" bandwidth....
