The best way to work around this will be to link static - your program will start and run faster, and as a bonus you'll have a much better chance of running on both BSD/OS and FreeBSD systems. We do our best to maintain binary compatibility with BSD/OS at the kernel level, but at the library level it's just a bit too hard. -- \\ Sometimes you're ahead, \\ Mike Smith \\ sometimes you're behind. \\ mike@smith.net.au \\ The race is long, and in the \\ msmith@freebsd.org \\ end it's only with yourself. \\ msmith@cdrom.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-current" in the body of the message
