The traceback you posted indeed looks familiar :-/
Unfortunately, as we have to do Real Work(tm) with this system I had to
convert it back to 2.2.7-RELEASE. The consensus at the time seemed to be that
it is not a CAM problem per se but triggered/exacerbated by it.
It will be interesting to see if it also happens with -current, as this may
very well be a -stable VM issue. A colleague of mine started burning an image
using cdrecord yesterday, but he hasn't made it into the office yet. I'll post
how things went later.
