We at Compaq Sweden are involved in a bid worth SEK 50,000,000.00
($5,000,000.00) for various hardware to the Swedish Government. One of =
the
requirement is that the harware support Unix. We have chosen to use BSD =
as
the Unix OS. However, there are some questions related to BSD that =
needs to
be anwered first.=20
1) Is BSD certified according to the X/Open Portability Guide 4 or Open
Group Unix 95? If yes, can a copy of the certificate be=20
sent to us?
2) Is BSD prepared/certified for ISO 10646 (UNICODE)?
3) Does BSD have X/Window R6 or a later "native" windowmanager? If yes, =
what
version does it have?
We also need to certify two models of the Armada laptop series for the =
BSD
Unix OS. Can you assist us with that task?
I also have to point out that we're in a really, really big hurry...
I'm looking forward for an answere for the questions above. Please
