Hi!
We at Compaq Sweden are involved in a bid worth SEK 50,000,000.00
($5,000,000.00) for various hardware to the Swedish Government. One of the
requirement is that the harware support Unix. We have chosen to use BSD as
the Unix OS. However, there are some questions related to BSD that needs to
be anwered first.
1) Is BSD certified according to the X/Open Portability Guide 4 or Open
Group Unix 95? If yes, can a copy of the certificate be
sent to us?
2) Is BSD prepared/certified for ISO 10646 (UNICODE)?
3) Does BSD have X/Window R6 or a later "native" windowmanager? If yes, what
version does it have?
We also need to certify two models of the Armada laptop series for the BSD
Unix OS. Can you assist us with that task?
I also have to point out that we're in a really, really big hurry...
