Hi, Have a look at this link: http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/faq/troubleshoot.html#BOOT= MANAGER-RESTORE It talks about restoring the bootmanager after another OS installation have overwritten it. It is applicable to your situation since you basically want to do the same thing. Boot off the CD and follow the steps in the FAQ, but put the loader on your Disk 1.
