No. :-) GCC changed the versioning scheme similar to FreeBSD: the next major releases after GCC 4.8 and GCC 4.9 are going to be GCC 5, GCC 6, GCC 7, and so forth. Accordingly I am planning to call the tools gcc5, g++5, gfortran5, and gcj5, respectively (and documented this in lang/gcc5/pkg-descr). Otherwise, we'd be changing that for bugfix releases.
