I've had this problem for months now... even though I'm using 6.2-STABLE
and the plain 'nv' driver (it's an amd64 box, so I don't have a choice
here). I'd say it happens once every 10 times I switch from X to console
[the machine locks hard], at first I thought it could be a problem with
the Modeline I'm using, but apparently not.
Modeline "1440x900" 106.47 1440 1520 1672 1904 900 901 904 932
+HSync +Vsync
none8@pci0:5:0: class=0x030000 card=0x30b7103c chip=0x024410de rev=0xa2
hdr=0x00
vendor = 'NVIDIA Corporation'
class = display
subclass = VGA
[rainer@bsd ~]$ grep Chipset /var/log/Xorg.0.log
(--) Chipset GeForce Go 6150 found
(--) NV(0): Chipset: "GeForce Go 6150"
Btw, I'm running xorg 7.2
