Eh?  If it doesn't exist, it won't be deleted.

It would be one of three: delete automatically, move automatically, do
nothing.  Reasonable to me.

I disagree.  That's no more or less safe than any other way.  Or let
me rephrase, it is no less safe than a make installworld.
