There are also timeouts - usually I would say it's a cabeling thing, but I had the same phaenomen on an alpha with a SCSI-System that was known to work on another host. Interestingly also with an ahc - in my case an 2940UW. Finally I exchanged the Adaptec with an Symbios-Controller and it works fine. Maybe that's really a bug on alpha with ahc controllers. I originally thought that it was still a cabeling problem eaven I searched and exchanged everthing possible as the Controller seemed to work with some narrow drives. But in my case it happened only under disk load and I'm not shure if the old narrow drives are capable of stressing the system as much as the two LVD 'cudas did. -- B.Walter COSMO-Project http://www.cosmo-project.de ticso@cicely.de Usergroup info@cosmo-project.de To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-alpha" in the body of the message
