Ops - that's quite different if you show the complete thing!
There are also timeouts - usually I would say it's a cabeling thing, but
I had the same phaenomen on an alpha with a SCSI-System that was known to
work on another host.
Interestingly also with an ahc - in my case an 2940UW.
Finally I exchanged the Adaptec with an Symbios-Controller and it works fine.
Maybe that's really a bug on alpha with ahc controllers.
I originally thought that it was still a cabeling problem eaven I searched and
exchanged everthing possible as the Controller seemed to work with some
narrow drives. But in my case it happened only under disk load and I'm not shure
if the old narrow drives are capable of stressing the system as much as the
two LVD 'cudas did.
