I just installed freebsd for the first time. I'm having some trouble getting X to work. This is an old machine - IBM PS/ValuePoint 433SX/S At any rate I have looked on the board (the vid card is integrated into the board) and don't see anything I recognize as a video card. I tried using the generic card in xf86config but when I try to run xprobe it can't write the mod lines. When I try and start X I get - Modes 640x400 ^^^^^^^ Mode name expected I thought the bios might tell me something but using 'del' 'esc' 'F1' won't get me in. Any help would be appreciated.
