Hello,
After fresh installation of FreeBSD 2.1R on 3 boxes with hardware:
UMC486SX/40, ISA-IDE, [ET Synhronus Interface,] HDD {IDE-WD|SCSI},
Ethernet {SMC|3COM}.
I found that 30 hours (and some minutes) after restart the /etc directory is not
visible on above systems.
Here is example:
(sesion open before /etc problems)
rigel# ls /etc
/etc
rigel# ls -l /etc
ls: etc: no such file or directory
rigel# cd /etc
(from this moment /etc is visible for some time)
When I replace any UMC486SX/40 with INTEL486DX/50 (running at 40MHz)
all works excellent.
It has 100% regularity.
Have you got any suggestions?
Thanks in advance,
Piotr Sroczynski
