This is a multi-part message in MIME format. ------=_NextPart_000_01D9_01BE9642.BD4A3E80 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Hello, My friend and neighbor who is starting his first FreeBSD install is running into one problem after another, he is experiencing issues regarding the second on board IDE controller (FreeBSD doesn't seem to detect it at all), and also, mounting CDs. The following is from the e-mail he sent me: I'm attempting to mount my cd-rom. I've used mount -t cd9660 /dev/wcd0c /cdrom and mount_cd9660 /dev/wcd0c /cdrom and mount -6 iso9660 /dev/wcd0c /cdrom and other forms of each of these. I get the following message: acd0: read_toc failed mount_cd9660: Input/output error What am I doing wrong? ... He found a "problem/kernel" page, but it refers to a 3.0-SNAP, and he also said that his motherboard was mentioned. He said that this bug report was the only thing he could find. I also told him to subscribe to the mailing list too. :) (btw, the kernel report is attached for reference, he is running 3.1-Release) TIA! -Todd & David ------=_NextPart_000_01D9_01BE9642.BD4A3E80 Content-Type: text/html; name="ProblemReportkern-9282.htm" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable Content-Disposition: attachment; filename="ProblemReportkern-9282.htm" <META HTTP-EQUIV=3D"Content-Type" = CONTENT=3D"text/html;charset=3Diso-8859-1"> <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD><TITLE>Problem Report kern/9282</TITLE> <META content=3D"text/html; charset=3Dwindows-1252" = http-equiv=3DContent-Type><BASE=20 href=3Dhttp://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=3D9282> <META content=3D"MSHTML 5.00.2014.210" name=3DGENERATOR></HEAD> <BODY bgColor=3D#ffffff text=3D#000000> <DIV><SPAN class=3D916274104-03051999><STRONG>This is my brand new=20 motherboard.
