I have not tested it on 7.x - the drive was in a server I setup for a 
client and I won't have the opportunity to try it out with 7.x.

FWIW the drive was usable, you just had to be careful about when you 
poked it otherwise it would hang. (I ended up putting a lot of sleep 
command in the backup scripts)
