doc & www have been in SVN for a couple of months - see
http://svnweb.freebsd.org/doc/ and the README files in the CVS repo.
I'm not sure what has or will happen to projects.

With SVN, tags and branches are explicit commits so you could just
follow the mailing lists.  Alternatively, look at:
