I'd say: try it. If it dies, let me know the error message you are seeing.
Chances are pretty good that it will be largely functional.
There are sporadic reports of problems, but they all seem to have backtraces
and error messages, so most of them should be easy enough to fix, if someone
sits down to do it. Few problems are intraceable.

So far, the reports seem quite optimistic.
It is not stable in the sense that it is a finished product. You'll be
rebuilding the JDK every few weeks over the next months. Welcome to the
cutting edge of technology. :-)
