Dear matt, Thanks for your comments. The system has been running for a few months. First, I installed 4.1R, and a few weeks ago I upgraded to 4.2R via ftp. I just saw this funny message once: in the log, it happened on Dec 27, when the heating system was stopped. In the past, however, I experienced two or three kernel panics that resulted in `syncing disks .... done' So, the system may have some hardware problems, I guess. Yesterday and today, the system seems to be al'right. Meanwhile, as Drew wrote, the system is slightly overclocked against the pci bus. I could not find original 50Mhz crystall at hand, I inserted 48.0, with the ratio 14. (480/14=34.28.. is current pci bus speed in my system.)
