Ah, that 'xplains it.  My Toshiba has a ToPIC.  Is there anything I can
try?  I'm sort of in the mood to muck around with it, even though I
*really* need to be writing a router simulation for my networking class.
:-)

If you have any idea where the problem might be, I'd be willing to try
some edits/compiles/dmesgs.
