Thank you. You don't need to add the header. You can "highlight" using ~C, which checks the To: or Cc: for a string. I have tested a rule in my .muttrc which does this: color index red black '(~C freebsd-question)' It seems to correctly color messages to the freebsd-questions list. In theory, you should be able to use other mutt patterns as per http://www.mutt.org/doc/manual/manual-4.html#ss4.2 This could allow you to search for the List-ID header and color/highlight based upon that.
