Synopsis: strange sysctl output State-Changed-From-To: open->closed State-Changed-By: gavin State-Changed-When: Sat Jun 23 16:03:24 UTC 2007 State-Changed-Why: This is not actually a bug. By grepping the output of sysctl -a you are also seeing fragments of the sysctl kern.msgbuf, which contain the Kernel Message Buffer. This includes the lines printed when the sysctl is initially set during boot. http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=85902
