The autochange-over switch is called a double pole double throw switch.
This is a must or you can literally kill someone who is trying to repair
the line (while you are providing power for yourself).  Power will feed
down the line in reverse, and when it hits the transformer, rather than
step down the current, it will step up the current.  In some cases this
can take 120/240V power that you are producing and transform it to 7000+
volts...
