This bug is resolved by upgrading my BIOS. I've upgraded the bios on my Asus P5VD2-MX from the default to version 1017 Here's the link to different versions with their changelogs. http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?model=P5VD2-MX&SLanguage=en-us So, from my point of view this issue can be closed.
