we sometimes need to add a route to the aliased interface, and when that
is done, it always works (ed0 aliases, 2.1.x, I've had this aliases with
routes since 2.1 )

I've even tried it now with 3.0-current as of two weeks ago, and it works,
just add the following lines after you ifconfig your aliases:

route -n add a.b.c.d 127.0.0.1
route -n add e.f.g.h 127.0.0.1

(the -n prevents the dns lookup, I'm too impatient :)
