Hi there, I get the following error when I try to portinstall VLC on my machine running FreeBSD6.1 Stable: configure: error: libdirac doesn't appear to be installed on you system. ===> Script "configure" failed unexpectedly. Please report the problem to multimedia@FreeBSD.org [maintainer] and attach the "/usr/ports/multimedia/vlc/work/vlc-0.8.5/config.log" including the output of the failure of your make command. Also, it might be a good idea to provide an overview of all packages installed on your system (e.g. an `ls /var/db/pkg`). *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/ports/multimedia/vlc. ** Command failed [exit code 1]: /usr/bin/script -qa /tmp/portinstall776.0 make ** Fix the problem and try again. ** Listing the failed packages (*:skipped / !:failed) ! multimedia/vlc (configure error) ---> Packages processed: 0 done, 0 ignored, 0 skipped and 1 failed strongbad# Please find attached the failed output of the port install, a list of the packages installed on my machine and the contents of /usr/ports/multimedia/vlc/work/vlc-0.8.5/config.log. I'd appreciate finding out what's going wrong here. Many thanks, Orla -- Orla McGann (OMG4-RIPE) * t: +353-1-6609040 Network Operations * f: +353-1-6603666 HEAnet Ltd. * e: noc@heanet.ie
