Hi I have strange problem with aforementioned adaptec raid controller and 4.7-STABLE. The controller is detected by kernel, but for some awkward reason with optional battery, which is not present actually (aaccli shows correct info). The biggest problem, however, is that while system works from ide drives and empty 2120S, it stops working (doesn't boot) when raid disks are connected, the kernel just repeats last messaga: aac0: **Monitor** SCSI bus reset issued on channel 0 I have 3 other servers with 2120S, RAID5 and no IDE, all running 5.X. My questions: a. Should 2120S work with 4.X and specifically with 4.7? b. Could this be hardware problem? c. Could this be firmware problem (my other 2120 controllers have Build #5770 BIOS) TIA L.
