I may seem pretty hard on these users but the fact that the intended audience (sp ?) was not the same for *BSD and Linux (at the beginning) has always been a strong point for me (even if I'm a forever-BSD-addict). A good, robust (even with character based menus fro things like network setup and such) is fine. Having a slackware-like, with X11 and all that just to get more DOS users is not that needed IMO.
