Same Here. I do not have any firewire devices installed. I have the 4.9 BETA installed on two Dell PE 1750's and it is humming like a top. I get two messeage boxes, just after kernel initialization and before the main sysinstall menu saying: Loading module if_fwe.ko failed Ethernet over FireWire and Loading module sbp.ko failed SBP-2 SCSI over FireWire The installation work fine after that. -- Simon L.
