Hmmm.... I'd really like to get this sorted out. Can someone point me in some direction that I might attempt to track this down and figure it out? I've submitted a bug report (misc/9903), and a very detailed description of the problem a few days earlier. Should I rebuild "system", or "popen" with '-g' and attempt to step through the call to figure out what's hanging there? Is there some other/better trick that might lead to a resolution? I just need a hint... really! thanks, -steve To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-hackers" in the body of the message
