V.90 is not yet a standard.  Last I heard, it was scheduled for a vote
later this month.

As for the PortMaster issue, it seems that Rockwell didn't get around to
doing interoperability testing with Lucent RABU (nee Livingston
Technologies) until rather recently.

Latest word I've read on the portmaster-users list is that most recent
public ComOS bets (3.8b21) is pretty good, but there remain some issues.
