I have been experimenting with this as well. I use the command line ffmpeg -y -vcodec mpeg1video -me zero -intra -b 9600 -s 384x288 for capturing. I also see the problem of the audio being a bit out of sync. However, since I re-encode the whole thing using virtualdub (shame on me :-)) I simply set the frame rate to 25.045 and all is well. I have done this recently with a 60 minutes movie grabbed from the SAT receiver. The value of 25.045 (instead of 25) results in a sufficient well synchronization at every position within the movie.
