binaries as soon as possible in order to minimize the window in which
people would end up getting them in their trees. The more such people

It was a decision that I made personally, in my role as one of the
co-managers of the CVS repository.
You know, Julian, I hope not too many more days will go by before
you get over this need you seem to have to utter a jab at the core
team in every mail you send out. I can't see that it adds anything
to the discussion.
