This sounds like potentially the same licensing/business model that was used 
with Inprise for the Linux port.  If I recall correctly, at that time Sun 
also spoke of a need for a legal entity.

Thankfully, BSDi's press release is only 1/2 the story: it is augmented by 
discussions for an "official" port, and that is certainly good news :)  
Apparently there is not yet any contractual arrangement between Sun and 
BSDi, :(  which explains some of the vagueness of the BSDi press release.

Looking forward to more info ...
