FreeBSD nfs 5.4-RELEASE-p1 FreeBSD 5.4-RELEASE-p1 #2: Fri May 13 12:02:42 CDT 2005 root@nfs:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/GENERIC i386
>Description:
/etc/pf.os didn't match my FreeBSD boxes while i was running 5.3 and 5.4.
>How-To-Repeat:
add something like..
pass in log quick on $if proto tcp from srcnet/24 os FreeBSD to { $ip } port = 22 flags S/SA keep state. Then watch as your 5.3 or 5.4 box doesn't get through.
>Fix:
add the following to /etc/pf.os
"65535:64:1:64:M1460,N,N,S,N,W0,N,N,T: FreeBSD:5.3-5.4::FreeBSD 5.3-5.4"
This seems to match all my FreeBSD boxes. More testing should be done to be sure. FYI this is also the same as the "NetApp:5.2:1:NetApp NetCache 5.2.1". I'm not sure if that will be a problem or not (or does that just mean its running FreeBSD ;) )
