Gareth, If you have a built-in NIC and modem there is a good chance you need to bump up your pccard_mem in rc.conf to 0xd8000. A lot of those built-in NICs are taking a little memory in the 0xd0000-0xd4000 range. You should be able to see this by looking at Window's Device Manager.
