You probably know this already, but use of a parallel port zip drive will
make your whole system slow while the drive is being accessed.  It might
not be too bad if you have a buffered parallel port card.  It's much like
PLIP (parallel port SLIP), fine for the occasional file transfer but a huge
drag to use all the time.

With the SCSI ZIPs being sold at fire sale prices due to the ZIP Plus being
out, that is a much better solution.  Especially if you are on a multi-user
system, all those parallel port interupts are going to bring you system to
it's knees.
