Greetings,
Has anyone had any luck using smbprint under FreeBSD 4.0? I'm trying to
print to our networked NT based print server.
FreeBSD merlin.osl.co.uk 4.0-STABLE FreeBSD 4.0-STABLE #3: Wed Jun 7
17:07:21 BST 2000 root@merlin.osl.co.uk:/usr/src/sys/compile/MERLIN
i386
[root@merlin:cliff]$ /usr/local/sbin/smbd -V
Version 2.0.7
/etc/printcap:
lp:\
:cm=Mono laser on Freud:\
:sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp_mono:\
:af=/var/spool/lpd/lp_mono/acct:\
:if=/usr/local/libexec/smbprint:\
:mx=0:\
:lp=/dev/null:
I am getting the following error reported in lpd-errs:
[root@merlin:cliff]$ cat /etc/motd | lpr
Jun 14 17:08:31 merlin lpd[2149]: lp: filter 'f' exited (retcode=127)
Jun 14 17:08:31 merlin lpd[2149]: mail sent to user root about job stdin
on printer lp (XXX compiler confusion)
Jun 14 17:08:31 merlin lpd[2149]: lp: job could not be printed
(cfA009merlin.osl.co.uk)
I'm lost... What have I screwed up (this time) ?
Thanks
