Greetings, Has anyone had any luck using smbprint under FreeBSD 4.0? I'm trying to print to our networked NT based print server. FreeBSD merlin.osl.co.uk 4.0-STABLE FreeBSD 4.0-STABLE #3: Wed Jun 7 17:07:21 BST 2000 root@merlin.osl.co.uk:/usr/src/sys/compile/MERLIN i386 [root@merlin:cliff]$ /usr/local/sbin/smbd -V Version 2.0.7 /etc/printcap: lp:\ :cm=Mono laser on Freud:\ :sd=/var/spool/lpd/lp_mono:\ :af=/var/spool/lpd/lp_mono/acct:\ :if=/usr/local/libexec/smbprint:\ :mx=0:\ :lp=/dev/null: I am getting the following error reported in lpd-errs: [root@merlin:cliff]$ cat /etc/motd | lpr Jun 14 17:08:31 merlin lpd[2149]: lp: filter 'f' exited (retcode=127) Jun 14 17:08:31 merlin lpd[2149]: mail sent to user root about job stdin on printer lp (XXX compiler confusion) Jun 14 17:08:31 merlin lpd[2149]: lp: job could not be printed (cfA009merlin.osl.co.uk) I'm lost... What have I screwed up (this time) ?
