Hi,
If someone, specially a mechanical engineer, is interested in a FEM
program, there is one for X called FElt that could compile easily. I
haven`t compiled it because we are not registered and I can`t download
it. If you want to take a look, the URL is:

http://www-cse.ucsd.edu/users/atkinson/FElt

it is known to work under LINUX, AIX, and SGI, and the author would
like to know about it`s workings on other machines.

regards,

Pedro.
