Dear Arcady Genkin, Sysinstall failed to compile when I first built 4-(then)-CURRENT although with a different error message as I recall. Well, there were other bits out of, ehem, order, but I went ahead ruthlessly ... The brute force method was (then) to remake the world (by the make world tutorial, this time). Needless to say, it worked like charm and fixed the "leftovers" so to speak.
