I'm trying to install FreeBSD 4.8 on a system with Abit BE7-RAID motherboard (HPT372 integrated RAID controller, P4-2400, 512M DDR 333, 2 Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 8 40G ATA/133 disk drives configured as RAID1) When installing 4.8 RAID1 is recognized as ar0 device and instalation copletes without problem, but when the system is first time rebooted kernel crashes with such message: <...> atkbd0: <AT Keyboard> flags 0x1 irq 1 on atkbdc0 Fatal trap 1: priviliged instruction fault while in vm86 mode When trying to install 5.1 release the instalation crashes with similar message. I've tried to install on separate disk connected to onboard IDE controller with Hard Disks disconnected from RAID controller. Instalation completed and system is workin, but as soon as I connect a HDD to the RAID controller the system doesn't start any more. Maybe anyone had encountered similar problems or now the solution of this problem. Regards, Arvydas
